2012 Trenton Bike Tour Success

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2012 Trenton Bike Tour a great success. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces riding through the streets of our community on May 19! The Times of Trenton recently ran our opinion piece highlighting the event and some other bicycling initiatives.

Special thanks to our partner organization, the Boys & Girls Club of Trenton and Mercer County. Without their support and the efforts of the Keystone Club volunteers, the ride would not be nearly as successful. Knapp’s Cyclery and the Trenton Police Department deserve special recognition for the morning bike check and sag support. We were especially grateful for the returned presence of the Trenton Bike Cops! Thank you to Mama Yoga for leading our warm-up stretches in the morning, Leon Rainbow for designing our poster, Greater Mercer TMA for the helmets, Terhune Orchards for the discount on apples, New Millennium for the entertainment and Bethany House of Hospitality for the assistance at the rest stop! Thanks as well to TC Nelson and Trenton Social for hosting a delicious post-ride party, fender-blender and all.

Our steering committee does a bulk of the work, especially Trish, Dave, Jacque, Helen, Jim, Jaime, Don, Jeff, Jay, Joe, and Dave. This is a group effort and this group rocks!

And of course our sponsors who help make the whole thing possible: AAA, Capital Health, IslesShopRite, Pennington Ewing Athletic Club, Sun National Bank, and the Princeton Area Community Foundation, which selected the Trenton Bike Tour as an awardee for their 20th Anniversary celebration.

There are additional pictures posted on our TCR Facebook page.

To everyone else, even those we may not have listed, thanks for participating and please get in touch if you want to help plan 2013!
